Yes it will speed up returns, but it will reduce safety, and for most people this will actually INCREASE shipping costs! Once the insured value of the package passes the $800 to $1000 point Registered insured is CHEAPER than Priority insured. And as you go higher in value Registered becomes a LOT cheaper. And either one is cheaper than Express insured. Also unless they have their own private insurance, you can't insure a Priority or Express mail package for more than $5000. Registered you can insure up to $25,000. In my opinion this is a bad move.

Did you read the article? PCGS is insuring the packages and saving the customer money.

Your bill will go down and delivery time will be better. A win-win situation.

Yes I read the article, it says they will be insured by PCGS but not how they will be insured, self insured, privately insured, or postal insurance. They could use any of those three methods and still say "they will be insured by PCGS".

The headline of the article states:

"New, Lower Cost Shipping for PCGS Orders".

Quoted from the article:

Quote:
All packages will be fully insured by PCGS....For the next 90 days, if you submit coins using an old submission form, we will automatically calculate any refund due you and reimburse you for the difference.

It's plain and simple, PCGS is insuring the shipments themselves.
