I know this is a stupid question but my buddy and I are at
a disaggrement. IS the 2 dollar coin in Canada spelled
twoonie or toonie. (i believe its twoonie)

It seems the preferred spelling is "toonie" (according to Wiki and the Canadian government), and if you spell it with a "W", use only a single "O", as in "twonie".

If you still can't resolve your disagreement, you may have to resort to calling them "two dollar coins". [:p]

Since neither of these words really exist in english,you can call them what you want .And have a beer to smooth out the disagreement.

Too bad beer didn't cost toonie, or even better... less. Then the whole argument could be solved... the two dollar coin would be called "beer money" or "tip" by the bartender. ;)
