Okay, So I just came across a coin, 2 minutes after having an issue on another one. I have a 1970 5 Centavos coin from Ecuador. According to Krause there is a version which is missing the you in the country name, thus making Ecador. My coin is BU with almost proof like surfaces and a nice deep strike. However, the you is really weakly struck. The C and the A on either side are struck very strong, just the you is weak. However, you can definitely see the U. How much does something like this have to be before it is a variety?
As a side question, how weak does the D have to be before the 1922 D Lincoln becomes a no D?
