Ship christening medal?

Is that a serial number in the lower left corner of the second medal?

There is a Torino in Italy, as well as Ancona.

loose translation:

varo esso torino - launch it Torino

cattedrale s. ciriaco - Cathedral S. Ciriaco

Looks like a date or birthdate on the Ship Metal... May 28, 1966?

These aren't "coins"; they're both medals.

The top one seems to have something to do with the moon landings. I can't read the text to see if it says anything more specific.

The second one is apparently a medal commemorating the launching from Ancona, a town on the east coast of Italy, of an oil tanker named the "Esso Torino". See this page for some pics and other statistics of the ship. The Cathedral of San Ciriaco is a prominent building in Ancona. It was presumably given to those involved in building the ship.
