Can you get some blowups of the date, especially the two 8's?

I must be missing something here, because it looks like a normal 1880-O that has been cleaned and would grade AU-53.

It's a very nice coin hemis, especially since you can still seem some of the detail on the tail feathers of the eagle above the mm.

Can I ask what that cost you?

This coin looks very familiar. Did you post it in another thread? I also remember thinking it was AU details cleaned in a previous thread. Anyways, sometimes certain coins have appeal to me, even if there is nothing special about them value wise. :-)

1880-O's have some neat overdate and doubling varieties around the date. Not hugely valuable, although a couple are Top 100 or Top 50, but interesting nonetheless.

I do have another coin like this with the micro mint mark of "o", it's in the safe. I have to keep them apart otherwise I can get them confused. I don't think there is anything special per se, I just seem to like this particular coin for some reason. Weird isn't it? Oh well.
