Is this a plating error or what actually took place?
The edges Reverse and all is the same plating. The edges are round

Pocket change tends to get stuck in the fins of commercial clothes dryers. The tumbling action against the steel drum rounds the edges and when other coins are stuck with it, the faces of the coin get the snot beat out of them.

And I predict this question will show up here at least one more time before the month is out. :)

Actually saw one at coin club a week or two ago and a VERY experienced dealer there did NOT know what it was...I could help them out with my great knowledge gleaned here over the past several months.

10x is considered the normal where I live. For finer detail some use up to a 20x

Or a penny slot machine cent...those coins from Casinos are beat all the heck since they just keep getting recirculated over and over when people cash them in for Paper....
