Since the forum gets new members every day, I thought I would repost a link to an archived topic of mine to see if anyone can bring some new information to my search.

Stratford Theatre Movie Coin 1940s

I made the initial assumption that it may be from the Stratford Theater that existed in Chicago in the 30s and 40s, but now I wonder if it is from Canada or the UK due to the Spelling of Theatre. Doing a google search it appeared that one sold years ago, but no Cached info was available to read the descriptions. Anybody have info on this one?

Well, due to the format of the expiration date, Mar. 1, 1940 I would expect the token to be from the United States rather than the United Kingdom or Canada, where the date would likely be formatted as 1 March, 1940. I couldn't hazard a guess as to if it is from Chicago's Stratford, as I've seen it referred to as both theater and theatre.

Nice token, though.
