Need some expert opinions. I have 5 sequential $1 under inked notes. They have been confirmed by USSS as genuine. Any ideas as to what the value of the notes may be? And advice, if the hold any value beyond face.

Welcome to CCF. What is USSS? United States Secret Service? If genuine they will have a premium,as to how much? What ever someone is willing to pay. Have you checked E-bay for prices? Keep them until you find out more info on them.

John, thank you. Sorry, yes I did mean the Sercret Service. I have checked ebay and a bunch of web sites but I can't find anything similar. There are some that have a portion under inked (if that is even the right term) I guess insufficent would be better. I was hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction for more info.Any Ideas were I could go to find out more? I never knew that there was so much to this, it's wicked interseting. I might start collecting.

Definitely a collectible error and definitely worth a premium but I am not sure how much. Do you have an authentication letter from the Secret Service?

haha I'm also wondering about the USSS authentication. Did you actually phone up an agent? If you need to check if it's genuine, make sure that the intaglio details are still there. Bleached/erased notes have flat details.

I think I've seen a few on ebay before for $70-150 or so. But, that's ebay prices which could or could not mean someone would buy it at those prices.

wd1040: No, but I do talk to them:-). A little bit about myself, I am a Cash Services Manager. We ship suspect notes to the local office and they return the genuine.
