Got the one on the left in a cent roll today. It weighs 2.9 grams and is the size and thickness of a normal cent without the edge. I've shown a normal cent for comparison. Any ideas ?

In your photo it looks a little smaller than a cent. If that is the case then I would say it is a slug. Possibly a copper one but still a slug.

Yes, it's just a tad smaller, like a cent without the rim.

I made money on this one. It cost me 1c in a roll and there's more than 2c worth of copper in it, just like a cent.

About the size of a dime. And too small & too thin for an electrical condeuit knockout. Maybe a spot marker from the end of a golf putter!
