Had to go about 9 miles outside town today to find a school we have not searched. Trip was worth it I think. Will be going back to see if there is any jewelry..

Check around the MD forums you will see we do very well much better than average. The trick?
Practice pinpointing until you know exactly where every type of target is. Different metals have different sweet spots. With my Ace I can get to less than half an inch. The most important if it beeps dig it.

Nice finds! I have been wanting to go out with mine but the weather has been horrible here since September of last year. Rain, ice or snow every weekend except for maybe twice.

Nohope if you have not detected before the Ace250 is a real nice unit that is easy to use and will only set you back around $230.00. A word of warning though, once you start you can't stop. You will find yourself taking different routs home from work so that you can scope out new sites, getting up at the crack of dawn to hit a couple of play grounds on a Saturday morning, and god forbid you find a dirty old State Quarter, you will be there till your batteries go dead (I carry an extra set just in case, but don't tell anyone it will be our little secret).
