I scored 45 Eisenhower dollars from the bank today.  What is interesting is that prior to today, I have only scored Eisenhower's from the bank twice for a grand total of 3. A very nice DDO / DDR Ike, 2014cent. The best thing about ANACS is that they attribute so many varieties, no matter how minor they might be. Their slab has also grown on me too. |

Darth In your PGCS Registry set the MS66 Ike # 7414 is a stunner. 1973 S 40% Silver.  Is it possible to get more pictures of your PGCS registry IKEs? Darth, do you collect Low Balls? Or Peg legs? Toners? Thanks. |

all 72-S are design peg legs...I don't believe anybody has found a true proof 72-S that would qualify as a peg leg, so, something to hunt for..there are many with heavy polish and die repair work that are close, but, nothing severe found to date..find us 1 domain!

The 1973-S is the only Ike in my registry set that has a TrueView photo. I plan to photograph all of them at some point and upload them. Other than upgrading certain coins in my registry set I do collect nicely toned Ikes. It doesn't matter if I already have a particular year/mm. I'll buy it again if it's pretty enough.  It's always a plus if the coin happens to be an upgrade too. |

So when they take trueview pics, does PCGS take the coin out of the holder and reholder it?

No..pics taken in holders, or, raw, if sent raw. Good opportunity to get really good pics of your coins.

Actually, they do take the coins out of their holders to photograph them. They then reholder them. It's $10 per TrueView and $12 to reholder a coin. This is according to the site. What makes the TrueView images so superior is because the coins are photographed raw. NGC photographs their coins after they have been slabbed. The difference is obvious: PCGS wins.
You have to mark TrueView service on the PCGS submission form. They will photograph the coin before it is slabbed.

I recently upgraded my registry set with a VERY GOLDEN 1977 Ike, graded MS-65 by PCGS. I am quite certain that it would get a green bean if submitted. Man, this coin is beautiful! It was waiting for me when I got home tonight. You may start drooling now, jbuck.   |
