What do you mean by "vacuumed"? Did you seal them with a foodsaver or something similar?

Haha. I guess that was more cryptic than necessary.

Vacuumed = yup, sealed 2.5 x 2.5 with my foodsaver.
Liberated = released them all from their various blue, brown, and black proof case/filos. 40 years in moldy American Tourister in my parents attic. Much more the stench factor than worried about ruin. They saw daylight for the first time in four decades and some literally toned before my eyes. (esp. the 75-76 clads!)

Now what?

I hear you on all on getting the rest. But I'm not much of a completist. I had so much fun discovering, marveling, admiring, cataloguing (there are many more I didn't picture or free from Proof cases—-plus books of LWCs, LWMs, Merc dimes, Jeff nickels, some rolls of Morgans/Peace, etc.) but now I just come home every day and glance at the Ikes and go, now what?

I'd be much happier helping others complete sets, do more hunting myself. I know it probably sounds like the start of a slimy pitch or a huckster sale but in truth I would rather grade all those beautiful big Ikes for the last drops of unknown excitement and then offer em up to actual admirable hobbyists like most you. I have no real interest in auctioning up and watching people scrap.

Sure, a condition rarity or oddball to sell is a different story but my reality is I have a whole bunch of really exceptional but possibly flawed a tad, great but possibly not as a great as I think, possibly marginally valuable, probably mostly easily attainable, well-preserved, nicely struck Ikes. Pretty enough to grade, too numerous enough to possibly pay that much for a number.

This is why I read all these forums/threads for months before uttering a peep. It's nice to observe the collector side versus the business side, the love of the coin folks versus the mostly honorable cutthroats who make a living and sort of find out how I am.

The "now what" comes from being really neither, a little of both, and mostly just a research/hunter hound at heart. I simply can't see shipping off 30 or so Ikes to slab merely to fulfill any portion of all of it.

So, perhaps they go back into forgotten land and I'll do this again in 40 years when I have forgotten I have them. Haha. Who knows? That was the reason for the now what question. I have that every week now.

I sure have really gotten a ton more out of looking at all your favorites and coming home to my Grampa's weird beautiful company of Ikes than I ever thought I would this summer. Yeah, yeah...I might be a little hooked on your endless hobby. Ugggh, so this is my mid-40s, eh? Hahahaha.
