Chuck,
Cool finds
Especially for bag finds Congrats
Have you posted it on the other side
maybe Rob or someone there may have
an idea why it does not have the die markers
of either the March or August

I found a '72 T2 in a teller tray yesterday... need to take a closer look at it to figure out which month it is, but it's my first MS '72 T2 I've found. The other two were low AU.

Thanks to all.

Terry :

Yes, I did and Mr Hicks seems to think it's the March Issue, only an earlier die state, thus explaining why no die cracks etc.

I can't find a single match for either issue except for that dot below the N, so I'm going with this being a EDS of the March Issue for now.

Thanks,
Chuck.

Chuck,
EDS March
Very Hard to find. I'm glad that there other die markers besides
the crack on the reverse. All that study over at the Ike Group
is definitely helpful. I can't wait for Rob's book to come out.

Congratulations my fellow Ike enthusiast

Merc Crazy Congrats That is the best way to find those
rare Ikes Just ask Chuckster I have also found some in $1.25 bins
at local coin shows both 72 type 2's and 1971 D FEV's

Nice going on the Type 2 find. Still trying to find one of those. Did find a 1921S Morgan in a bag last night along with a beat up 1971s and a 1973. Overall pretty happy with the picks.

Latest Purchase.

PCGS-1971S MS 66

Not to good on the pics as my digital has been acting up lately, especially on close-ups.

*update on the 1972P Type 2 March EDS?

Coin has been mailed to ANACS- Attn Mr John Roberts along with the 1971D DDO / DDR FEV (going for a Discovery coin on this one, based on Dr Wiles attribution as a new DDO on CONECA! ), a 1971D and 1972D Peg Leg Ike and a 1977P Improperly Annealed Ike.

I'll post pics when they all come back.

Chuck.

Thanks Terry!

That was some day, for both of us finding a 1971D DDO-DDR FEV

What would be the odds of us doing it again?

Lets go for it

Chuck.
