That's a very nice proof Ike. Why is the DDO not designated on the label? Can you photograph the doubling?

I inherited this from my Grandpa he brought it home from Circus circus in 1978. It needs a good professional cleaning it was in a box in the bottom of his closet for 42yrs.

Try washing it witha soapy water and a soft cloth, it'll clean up that cloudy surface without harming the coin.

Ok I'll give that a try. Is a very special Ike and I don't want to mess it up before I can get I checked and slabbed. I've never seen one like it so I'm thinking it one of a kind.

There is a lot to this coin that is unseen. It's a full blooded 90%. It's also struck on an older planchet 1940's and I'm still checking it out but could be on a foreign planchet.

What makes you think it is 90% and not 40%?
If it really is the former, send it in for authentication and request conservation with it.
However, before we recommend you send it in, we need to know more about it. What is the weight?

We need a pic of the rim, and, a weight with a gram to start "our" process of detective work here. For now, like "Schultz", I see Nothingggggggggggg Silver should weigh 24.59 grams, +/-, a tad.....The copper-nickel version weighs 22.68 grams, the silver Ike dollar weighs 24.59 grams

Just liked the rim toning. The blotches not so much.
