You're picking up five 1000-coin bags of Ikes? In 2013? From which bank? How exactly does this happen? LOL. I'd love to go through such a hoard. I want to see pictures, though. I just can't believe it until I see it.

That's QUITE a HAUL Chad..way to go. .I have more than a handful of IKE Varieties I hunt for..yet to find a 1972-P T-II... With such large numbers, it would not surprise me if you nabbed one in your bags.....alos, 1971-D FEV, peg legs, Talon Heads, and other clashed IKES, partial, or full collar errors, off centers, greasers, double dies and RPM's.. Happy Hunting...let us know if selling any of the above off to members first? Cal

Wait CC9999, you mean ask one of them if they have ikes? I was going to search on the internet and try to find out. I tried googling before when I saw people were getting them but no luck.

Quote: your best bet is to think bigger. Armored Car Companies. I HAD to email a few...both said "they do not provide those services", ie:, ME more than glad to come and pickup bags and bags of IKES... Thinking I need to get a part time job @ Loomis or Brinks as a coffee-maker, and, work up from there..NO felonies, BUT, I do have a expunged ticket on my record, from going through a stop sign on my bicycle when I was 13...

I could not resist these...we all know of elongated cents, heck, there is even a catagory for them on ebay..at fairs and carnivals, it's always fun to watch the guy squish out one of these... These Eisenhower dollars are all dated 1971, with assorted logo's or cute sayings on them, like "Be Mine-I love you", with an engraved heart..one says "Kennedy Peace Forest-Isreal...another states "Merry Xmas-1971", with a crude little engraved candle, inside a "wreath" Funny, I HAD to check for errors clashing, and peg legs, and, sure enough, discovered the 1971-P DDR-OO1, with heavy notching on upper both S's in STATES..on one of these interesting IKES..the ebay seller, wrote this:----- Auction Title: Lot of (9) Rare Elongated Eisenhower dollarsDescription: "This auction is for a lot of (9) Rare Elongated Eisenhower dollars. The dollars all date from the early 1970's as do the elongations. The elongations celebrate events, holidays, and places or are advertising or love tokens. First lot we have seen like it. Free shipping in the US, satisfaction is guaranteed." Legal or illegal, to make these? Read on: The United States Codes Title 18, Chapter 17, and Section 331 "... prohibits the mutilation, diminution and falsification of United States coinage." But, the law "does not prohibit the mutiliation of coins if done without fraudulent intent or if the mutilated coins are not used fraudulently," said Willy Massey (former TEC President). Therefore, you don't have to worry when you want to try out this hobby. But, I heard it is illegal to smash Canadian pennies. So, do not try to smash anything over there if you don't want to get in trouble. In fact, Brad Ream, another collector, just told me that "it is actually illegal to roll any coin with the queen of England on it. This is considered defacing the picture of the queen and against the law, and the US has agreed to help enforce this law." Well, I'm, er, "pressed" for time, gotta run! Cal
