You mean the Half Cent facing left and the cent facing right?

The way I understand it, in 1793 the Half Cent faced left and the three versions of the cent all faced right.

In 1794 they both faced right.

The coin facing right is a One Cent, not a Half Cent.
THe Half Cent has a fraction of 1/200
The One Cent has a fraction of 1/100... as well as stating ONE CENT on the reverse.
