I've looked at this from all angles and it does look like another eye lid. Any input from the forum

Doesn't appear to follow any curvature of the actual eye. Most likely a gas bubble.

This really doesn't appear to be a gas bubble, here is a angle from the Front Forehead.

LD, with the close up, I really don't see the doubled eyelid at all. Maybe you could circle or place an arrow towards what you are seeing.  Here is a pic of a doubled eyelid. You can see what I mean by matching the eye features.

Sorry, gas bubble seems reasonable. I might be wrong.

LD, here is a normal 1997 eye.  What I'm seeing on your coin appears to be indented. Maybe a hit from sometime during the last 13 years.

MorgansRmine Thanks, thats probably what it is but in hand it really does look like thr full eye- lid. When you keep looking at this stuff your imagination can run wild.
