Went to a coin store today and bought a 1898-O Morgan dollar MS-64 which was slabbed in a NGC slab. On the back is a sticker that says...

TR-204451 8W1DCVV
S1 1898 OMS64
7254 0619G 0

I do not belong to NGC so should I leave this sticker on the case or does it matter. Thanks,

I would leave it.Probably has something to do with the member who sent it in for grading.

I always remove the stickers. They are usually related to a seller's inventory ID and of no use to me.

Me too...NGC information is inside the slab, not outside.

yes this is probably a dealer tag so they will know how much they paid and what not so they know how much lead way they have when selling. It has nothing to do for when the coin was graded or anything all that information is on the label and even NGC doesn't keep track of who submitted it as far as I know but even if they did all the information they would need would be inside the slab not attached to the outside

Thanks for the info. I am going to remove it today. I also learned that all the NGC info is on the inside of the slab.
