Greaser, I think. Anything post-mint which could dissolve the coin that badly should also discolor it.

Guess I should have said so, but dryer is what I see, too. Only problem is that Dryer Coins tend to show coping on the outside edge and it does not seem present here. Still the overall mushy effect is consistent.

Jim - That's why I posted this coin here. All the other Dryer Coins I've seen give it away at the rim. This rim is still pretty square.
