I'm going to my 2ND coin show tomorrow, (last one, I was on my first week of collecting so I didn't know what I was looking for) what should I look for now? I really want a Morgan dollar, are there any that are affordable in coin shows? (like around 20 dollars)
and should I bring my Red Book?

Go ahead and bring your RedBook or any other price guide you might have. Don't pay RedBook prices, they tend to be too high.

I like to bring a want list with the prices already researched (it's easier to do this before you get there). Take notes on which table has what and prices. If you are focusing on Morgans, practice grading them (PCGS sight is good) and make a list of dates/grades you think you can afford.

Good luck and have fun.

Coin show I was at today, one dealer had a box of common date BU Morgans for $25 a pop (and they were very nice BUs... I think they were the same ones he bought from me for $23 last month) ;)

oh yeah, take your Red Book (about 1/3 of the folks there had them). Take a list of what you're looking for or mark up your Red Book. I could've picked up nice things from the bargain bins if I had taken lists of my wants.

if you do take your RedBook do not go buy their value guide because that sure can't be used for anything but a reference. it is a valuable tool just not as a price guide
