Unidentified Austrian 1986 Remake (Id: Japanese Fantasy Remake Of 1486 Guldiner)

Uhhhh Valued Member United States 117 Posts	Posted 02/28/2010 12:34 am I bought this coin in a shop today, and after doing a little bit of research I've found out that it's an 1986 Austrian remake of a 1486 Guldiner coin. However, of all the pictures I've seen I haven't seen any with the Chinese script on the coin, and that's throwing me off. Also on the edge of the coin it is inscribed, BRIXLEGGER AUSBEUTE with a symbol of crossed hammers or something. There is also in a different font an encircled letter A and 900 on the edge. I was just wondering if this meant anything. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

The characters on the left appear to be Japanese and problem name the show. Report this Post to the Staff
Uhhhh Valued Member United States 117 Posts	Posted 02/28/2010 10:59 am Thanks. Any idea of what the 900 on the edge would signify? It's in a plain-jane arial looking font. This PDF file http://www.uibk.ac.at/downloads/c71...7/hammer.pdf shows, at the top of the second page, the very same piece (same year, same design, same inscription ... except those words are in German: ERSTER TALER DER WELT.
