I personally have never bid or bought anything from ebay and I hear mixed things about it. I was just wondering how people could put things up for sale on it for so cheap, like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/1886-O-MORGAN-S...IN_W0QQitemZ170453407203?hash=item27afd095e3

Just because it is cheap now the likely hood of the auction closing at that price is highly unlikely. I have seen 1 kilo gold bars with the auction starting at 1 cent and they always end at a price that is around the spot price of gold. If you want to get a better idea of what things are selling for, search through the completed listings.

Way, way back my Son set me up with an ebay account. Then he set me up with someting called paypal. I've never used either one yet and probably never will. I know for many people on Earth, the internet is the best and maybe the only place to purchase many things. However, around where I live you can buy almsot anything ever made and see it in person. And no postage, insurance, handling, lost in mail, etc.
