Hi All,

What are your thoughts of this coin? What would something like it sell for?

I wish your pics were better. Seems like an off centre, however the obv. reverse offsets do not appear to match. Is the coin spooned much? Interesting.

John1, errors of this type are rare here in Canada. 5-7 dollars is not even in the ball park. sorry

Yeah I am lousy at pricing but gave it a try. I know Canadian coins with errors are worth more then U.S. coins with errors. So what is it worth? Can't wait to find out.

I would say between 75-150.00 There is still something striking me wrong with the die alignments tho.

coinsrfun:

the only thing that I suspect is that as another coin was feeded in to be stamped, this coin got jammed. as a result, the reverse of this coin was used to stamp another coin, and the obverse was struck again completely off-centered (as it was on its way out of the stamper when it jammed).

those are my thoughts. I do not know for sure this is the case. I apologize that the picture is not better, but it does describe the coin, there is nothing hiding.

i have weighed the coin, and it weighs the same as other 2007s.

cheers

still wondering - is this coin magnetic or non-magnetic. that could affect the price drastically - if it is non-magnetic.

I vote for an answer to the magnetic question as well!
Also wondering this:
The die alignment seems to be coin rather than medal. If this was an on center strike it would be worth big bucks because of that fact alone. Is that value impaired because of the obvious "other" error?
