a new $100 bill is the next to be introduced. Its new design will make its debut on Wednesday, April 21 during a ceremony at the Department of the Treasury's Cash Room.

Here's to a new design, new technology with MOTION and maybe that polymer/paper rag!

Nice, I was wondering when it was coming. I like the new series of notes better than the previous series.

Yeah me too. Even though IMO it still looks like "play" money!

I'm just excited what the new design will be. Maybe they'll have a vertical note? Maybe new typography? This is like Christmas eve!

However, the do have to have space for the MOTION security thread and will have to have the ultra-enlarged 100 on one of the corners.

I also read that it's going to be printed on DuraSafe paper, which is a paper/polymer/paper sandwich.

Yeah I know it's FOX news and people have opinions on their political coverage, but I don't think they will lie about this. Plus at the bottom of the article, it says the first mass produced notes will come out late 2010 so does this mean I will be able to get a specimen for my collection before the year is over?

I doubt there will be much for a change of design. It appears that the American public does nothing but whine whenever there is a design change. Heaven forbid there would actually be real colour on US money other than faint underprint colour currently in use. I doubt there will be any use of polymer or a difference in orientation.
