It is my fault that the thread went off on the error/variety tangent,, I apologise. Its just one of those pet peeves of mine.

Looking at the 2 pictures side by side gives you a better idea. To me the tree branches look diffrent too...maybe because one has more wear that the other? Tim

But I did not put this here to argue if it was a error or a variety or if it was legit or counterfit, I just thought it was interesting and when I saw it I could only think of the extra leaf design of Wisconsin and I wondered if we can see a simular fate with this one and thought maybe everyone else would think it was interesting as well
I didn't mean to argue I'm just stating a thought about it. Actually it is quite intrigueing really. When the extra leaf Wisconsin error quarter came out and said "Hello world I'm special I'm a error quarter search for me" I went crazy since I all the quarters I had were wisconsin quarters I searched through them using magnify glasses and everything sadly none were errors. But with this discovery and with people reading this thread I won't be able to look for this new so-called "error" quarter. But really I'm not trying to patrinize you in any way actually I enjoy reading your wisdom of coins and everyone elses wisdom to especially the moderators and MoM ,and Mike

I actually was fortunate enough to find a low leaf and high leaf in one bank roll, they were both on the ends of the roll and I just knew I would find atleast one more but no such luck. But atleast I did get one of each in that one roll

I think everybody will feel more comfortable with this quarter once it has gone through attribution and grading at one of the top TPGs.

Well, nobody asked me- but I really think someone at the mint is having fun with all this. But then let us say for the coin collecting community - it is Pro Bono Publico= (All for the good of the (public) Dewey

Truly I believ its money generating hype machine that makes the us mint money, and of course down the line dealers , collectors etc. If its Dishonest atleast its driving our hobby, pretty well

both this and the extra leaf varieties would be great coins to add to any State Quarter collection. I have 2 sets of quarters going, one for myself and 1 set for my kids that an American friend started off for them. I think I seriously need to look at both the varieties to make the complete set something special, I hope the mint workers dont do this too often...lol...funds are stretched on this hobbby already.

the first few he sold went for 19.99 on ebay and these last two went for over a hundred dollars. Either someone is recognizing them as a real variety or just more people found out about them this time. I sure am glad I emailed the guy and bought one from him directly for 20 bucks before these auctions were over and he realized how much these things were going to go for in the auction this time
