Hi,
How you will grade these coins? 1937 shilling has a small defect left of first "A" in "Afrika".

I really like the reverse on these coins. Details on the 1st one look AU-50, but the mark on the reverse will drop the grade some. The second coin I would grade at AU-55.

Hi, I have collected SA coins for many years. I would concur with an AU-55 on the 29 shilling. The obv is strong showing some slight even wear to high points. Not unduly marked or scratched. The other 1937 shilling due to the significant and detracting rev mark I would give a XF45 overall. Actually at NGC it would probably receive a details grading of XF. Regards, CP.

Very nice! Thanks for posting these. It really does seem that the coins of South Africa are under appreciated.
