I didn't know either, Not Intended For Circulation. I will save someone else from looking it up. So now that I know, great find.

I've found one similar to this. I posted a picture a while back. Same thing with the edge. I think it was chromed.

Yeah that could be......didn't think about "chromed".

(My Dad tried to tell me that somebody used Mercury and "rubbed it" to try to fool folks and have people think it was Silver.....and that I have to watch out for these kinds of tricks with coins and not fall for them)
......My Dad......bless his heart......Shhhhheeeeeshhh!

I do not think it looks like mercury. I think chrome plating is more likely than silver. I would keep it because it is an interesting conversation piece.

Eagle,
I've got a 1977 that is counter-struck 1960-1985, only it is gold. Also a 1983-P that has 1960-1980 and chromed like yours. Guess the '85 is for the 25th anniversary. Weighed both and they are Clad. Probably a series of them out there; every 5 or 10 years. Something new to collect!

My bad Duke. I should have posted the answer when I found out what it meant.
