The line is hard to see, but is anyone aware of anything like this? The line runs from the rim (between T/R in Trust all the way to the rim behind Lincoln's shoulder. Could it be a scratch (its elevated) or a die break? Appreciate any comments
I think it's too straight to be a die break/crack.Could be a scratch,a deep scratch would leave a ridge above the surface on both sides of the scratch. Let's wait for the pros to answer. John1
I'm not a pro and it is to hard for me to see any -raised- area, but after going to photo bucket.i saw ;just below the 'T' what may-be a raised area: from pushed metal (rolled/curled over)from being scratched/gouged into post mint damage, like john said.also i'll add that i'am leaning towards PMD 'cause if it were a die crack or break it would not be perfectly straight, just like john said.i'll just add that it would be more visible, I think. ie. more -raised- if were from a die scratch/or die gouge .just IMHO. in my humble opinion Happy Hunting
