This is obviously a modern imitation of a Zug coin. It measures 42mm in diameter and weighs 24.32 grams, about 4 grams less than a real coin of this type. The font is more modern than that found on this era of coins. The edge is smooth and round with lines of machining or somesuch running parallel to the faces of the coin. It appears to be silver and has the ring of silver but someone filed the edge a bit and it looks like it has a copper core.

Would have fooled me as I don't know much about foreigns but it certainly isn't a cast replica.

The fields are VERY granular! In fact, they almost seem to be textured. So I am not at all surprised that this is a replica.

Could that just be the pics? I don't see granular.

The fields are granular but the images and lettering are not. Here's a blown up look.

Wow. That is a sign of casting but they must have finished the edge with something as a cast coin would show a seam.
