I guess my question really is, who is INB? And have any of you ever cracked these out and had the grade hold? How do I know if these are RD, CAM, or DCAM? I'm assuming just RD. The coins look nice, well struck, no marks. If I were to put them up for sale, what would be a reasonable expectation on price? Edited by Scooby Due 03/21/2010 4:19 pm

very little considering they are probably not 70's at all considering the slabbers reputation. INB is not a real TPG they are basement slabbers, the chances of getting the same grade by any of the top TPG's are very slim. Especially when the grade is 70

do NOT buy coins graded by INB. they are self-slabbers and put on ebay for an extremely high price, the user name that you should STAY AWEAY from is called numismatic bureau. they slab the INB coins and sell them

Kind of what I figured - they didn't cost me anything so it's not like I'm out much! They were given to me, and as of right now, I don't collect proofs, so I was thinking about trading or selling them.

lafaa123, will send those off this morning.
I meant to ask you, are you going to crack them out and put them in an album, or keep them as is and just check them off your list?

Iafaa123,
What else are you looking for. I might have a couple I could let go of.

The grade is certainly not accurate but it would not surprise me if they did grade PR-65 or so, provided there are not carbon spots or obvious hairlines. Quote: How do I know if these are RD, CAM, or DCAM? I'm assuming just RD.
Since those coins are obviously not brown, they are Red RD, RB, and BN and just color descriptors- Red is the "fresh from the Mint" color. Most TPGs use the standard of 95-5% red for Red-Brown and anything below that is Brown. CAM and DCAM describe the contrast of proofs- cameo and deep cameo. Most of the pre-1970s proofs are brilliant, meaning they are completely shiny and do not have a cameo appearance. Cameo is not just the appearance of "frost" on the devices, there has to be a strong contrast with the fields as well. In the proper lighting the frost will give the white appearance while the reflective fields will look black, that is the contrast I am referring to. The level of contrast is what separates a CAM from a DCAM.

Thanks for the info bio, I read up on the cameo/deep cameo after posting that question. As far as the above coins, I don't recall any blemishes whatsoever. But, we'll have to lafaa123 determine that. He should have them by Thursday.
