$5.00 for the whole lot?

Congrats! From the pic, there's $6.50 in halves and dollar coins alone! Not including the Morgan...

LOL Paul, That is funny

But, they were younger than me. Seems like they just dumped some junk drawers in boxes and set them out. Kinda like your small town auction, ya know, buy a box to pull one thing then put the same box back in the auction the next week.
However, I surely didn't ask..did you know whats in the bottom of this box...lol no big money, but was fun and have some things I didn't have before.

Nothing wrong with that !
Wish I could get lucky like that once in a while !

I've been to a lot of auctions......they do have MANY boxes of stuff with a motley collection of things in each box, and you're right, you kinda just get whatever is in the box...that's how it works......so you did good in my opinion.

Not cool at all Paul. Regardless who "the old people are", their still your brothers and sisters. Lets stick to coins and collecting.

Maybe you all are joking about old people, right? I was working grocery retail for awhile in 1990. The economy wasnt doing very well. Seniors were spending their old coins on groceries. Being the customer service manager and till auditor, I bought up hundreds of dollars of old coin.

nice find, always nice to score a deal on some silver and other coins. Were any of the Kennedy's 64-70?

Also - too bad the thread got dumbed down.

You're correct, it did. I'm still not sure if the context was being truthful or sarcastic, so I'm leaving it stay right now.

No response is needed by anyone really, but I will throw my moderator hat on and say that if it was a truthful post, it is not needed on this forum, ever.
