Need Some Help/Opinions On This 2003A $5

bvalania Valued Member United States 458 Posts	Posted 03/31/2010 3:04 pm Just found this 2003a Lincoln in my drawyer. http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/...DSC00555.jpg Size, color, feel, smell, etc. is all normal on both sides. On the backside it shows (in yellowish/brown) the FRB seal and FRB numbers that you would see on a $1 note. In this case the seal is the letter L and the numbers are 10, but they all appear backwards. Any thoughts? Edited by bvalania 03/31/2010 8:54 pm Report this Post to the Staff

wd1040 Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 03/31/2010 3:46 pm It could be a post-printing transfer. The presses for $1 serials are different from that of a $5 and the two notes are not stored together, so that rules out the wet-ink transfer. Also, since you said the color is off, I would suppose someone dissolved those parts of the $1 and then pressed a $5 on it. But please post pictures! Report this Post to the Staff
