Just found this 2003a Lincoln in my drawyer.

Size, color, feel, smell, etc. is all normal on both sides. On the backside it shows (in yellowish/brown) the FRB seal and FRB numbers that you would see on a $1 note. In this case the seal is the letter L and the numbers are 10, but they all appear backwards. Any thoughts?

It could be a post-printing transfer. The presses for $1 serials are different from that of a $5 and the two notes are not stored together, so that rules out the wet-ink transfer. Also, since you said the color is off, I would suppose someone dissolved those parts of the $1 and then pressed a $5 on it.

But please post pictures!

I don't see any of the colored threads that are embedded in the bill and what about the security features, are the there, like the strip that runs to the left of the portrait? I am guessing it's a photocopier bill made by some teenager.

P.S.
What did you decide about the web notes bvalania?

You can see the 2nd head when you hold it up to light, and the strip is in there. John1, I'm watching some webs on ebay that are ending this week. I'll let you know after those auctions end. Sorry for not responding..
