Wornslick Pillar of the Community United States 1304 Posts	Posted 04/10/2010 10:00 am Got my first Dansco book, Franklin half dollars, the other day in the mail. For the past few weeks I have been buying them in MS quality. I have been noticing that the ones that have Full Bell Lines wrote on the 2X2 seem to increase the price. I was wondering what having full bell lines adds to the price of the coin? Report this Post to the Staff

It was a 1951D that he graded at MS-63 which in the RedBook is around $40.00. He wanted $75.00 for it because of the full bell lines. I just didn't know if FBL were worth $35.00 more. nohope587 Pillar of the Community United States 5953 Posts	Posted 04/11/2010 06:30 am FBL are determined by the strike when minted. If it were wear then the coin would not be MS (Mint state) On Good strikes its possible the have a FBL coin in Au grades. Report this Post to the Staff

steve199 Pillar of the Community United States 1882 Posts	Posted 04/15/2010 5:29 pm I don't think you'd find many AU Franklins out there with a FBL designation...and if you did find one, it would not have much (or any) premium. ( edit to add some data ) Teletrade has sold only one AU FBL coin in the last 4 years. 1950-D AU-58 FBL. It went for $12 plus buyers fee.
