Ok Here are a few of the finds from the last 3 boxes of Canada Cents I searched. Let me know what you think. I know some are MD but I still think they are cool. I will post a few of the pics here and post a link to the album on photobucket. Enjoy.

1970 Canada Cent with major Doubling of Front of bust features: Crown, Hair, Forehead, Lower Eye Lid, Nose, Upper Lip and Chin. The second pic shows the doubling of the neck and gown.

Just amazing what comes out of rolls of pennies....

Trick is to try and find out exactly what they are some times...

I agree completely D. I'm still new to this hobby and learn something new every day. I love it and so glad I got back into the hobby. I collected as a child with my grandfather. I think it was something that we had in common and brought us closer together. Now...getting back into the hobby...brings back alot of fond memories.

Trying to find the different varieties and errors is a fun process. My wife smiles at me each time I find something I have not seen before or something I have been looking for. She says my face lights up and I'm like a kid in a candy store. I love it.

I'm starting to know where to look for different elements. When I started hunting in Oct 2009. I did not have a clue what to look for. Now, as I'm learning more and more, I have been finding a lot more varieties. I sold 2 coins to pay for my metal detector and the rest are staying in my collection. Maybe I'll take my wife detecting with me...I'll swing the coil and she can dig the holes. LOL!

very nice doubling on the first picture and great find on the 1963!
On the 1979 could it be a air bubble?

I love roll hunting too, these errors are so interesting.
everytime I find a new kind of error I run to my room to put it in a 2X2
where will you be metal detecting?

Thank you Bernitz. On the 79...the pictures do not do it justice. Looking under the 45X microscope loupe it looks exactly like the eye ball that is in the correct spot. I will see if I can get a different pic of it later today.

Amazing closeups! What camera-setup do you use to get such magnification?

For some of the pictures I use a 45X microscope loupe. I take pictures through the viewer of the loupe using the macro setting on my old digital camera for close-up shots. I then use Paint.net (free online photo editing program) to cut and crop the pictures as desired. For pics of the full coins I use the same macro setting set to 4X zoom on my camera. I use 2 of the 1 cent bank boxes set up on their ends ans a sort of tripod to rest the camera on top of. The boxes are just the correct height for my cameras macro setting. I then use Paint.net to do any adjustments/crop and cuts that I desire.
