Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum as you can see and I have a question. I have a 1883cc Morgan dollar with partial clips at 1:00pm to 2:00pm also at 7:00pm to 8:00pm, has anyone ever had a coin like this? How much is the value? Lastly what grading company would be best to send to get error desination? Ty CoinHog

welcome to the CC forums! carson city morgans can be hard to come by, and clipped errors should bring a good premium.

This would be the first clip error 83-CC morgan I have ever seen, so please snap a picture of it if possible so we can all see this beauty. and as far as who to send it to, well if you are going to keep it I would suggest ANACS and if you are thinking about getting it graded to sell it I would go with PCGS or NGC because they have the highest resale value. But if you show a picture on here you may just get a offer you cant refuse for it and not even have to send it off to the graders. I know I would be interested in something like that and I am pretty sure one of the other morganites would probably like to have something like that in their collection. and as far as value goes, it depends on the condition of the coin to how much its worth, the clip error does make it worth more than a regular striked coin of the same grade but without a picture we wouldn't be able to tell you what kind of grade or what kind of value to give the coin

Hi I sent Susan a pic, I hope she can post it. Also I have a buyer but afraid to sell it to him because he is big business. I don't want to say his name, but his first name is the same is Mr __Flintstone, these grapes make great__? Lastly the titanic hit a Ice__? He told me it was a very small clip, but it was. The owner that had this didn't pay the extra $5 to have the error variety put on it and ANACS tells me that the clip hurt the grade. Go figure. CoinHog
