I hadn't bought a coin in months until last month due to college expenses, but a new coin store opened up fairly near to me and I just couldn't help myself. I've never had what you'd call an amazing find from a junk box, but for whatever reason I decided to rummage through their junk foreign coin box (and I don't even buy foreign coins.) Found two 2 Cent Pieces in the box and showed them to the dealer, who said that he would cut me a break on them since I found them and was honest about it. Walked out of the store with a VF35 1864 (large motto) and G4 1865 for $45! Was pretty thrilled.

Another time that I was there the dealer's assistant asked me if I'd go through their IHC bucket to sort out rares. Found one of every date from 1868-1876 in AG-G, and was rewarded with a (polished but still beautiful) AU 1901 for $2
