Hey guys! Just finished searching! Here's the breakdown:
$500 box of Halves: 1 1964 90% and 1 1968 40%
5 boxes of pennies:
1st box: 11 wheat cents Notables: 1935S
2nd box: 7 wheat cents Notables: none
3rd box: 6 wheat cents Notables: 1952D, About Uncirculated-58 condition.
4th box: 10 wheat cents Notables: 1920D
5th box: 6 wheat cents Notables: 1919
Copper cents: 15 lbs.

I was very pleased at what I found, especially at the 2 silver halves and the old wheat cents. The About Uncirculated-58 was very surprising, as I thought it was a 1974 until I saw the 5 in the date. I must have done a triple take on that one, LOL. As always I appreciate replies. Good luck! - coincrazed

Congrats, I guess we know how you spent your weekend!

Looks like low #'s for wheats on a couple of the boxes (6), as I usually hit 10-15 p/box except for those copperless boxes I found. My best box for wheats was 31. You did find some nice dates, and finally, not getting skunked on silver halves is always nice!!

Decent scores......

I'm having 4 boxes of halves coming in later this week.....I'm going to use this as a "hinge-point" as to whether or not I take a break from half searching for awhile !

Nice job on the wheat's! I quit searching boxes of halves due to the low number of good finds. I just search the customer rolled halves now, in my area they are the best. Had 7 rolls of silver out of 10 one time, 90% and 40% combined.

After too many hours searching through LMCs, I'm on the cusp of throwing all 1982-later cents back into circulation without much scrutiny. I dont like them...being an old schooler, the quality makes me cringe...and searching for varieties and errors? Welllllllllllllllll............mebbe let someone else find them within the next week if they havent corroded by then.

I will keep my eyeballs open for WAMs, though.

I did come across a

1901 1/12 Anna/India today searching through my gallon of change.

AU 1960 small date, brilliant.

We have 10,000 banks in our Capitol city here ! (just kidding....but there's a lot of banks in this town !) I've searched nearly EVERY ONE IN TOWN RECENTLY for "customer rolled".....just like the old days.....well.......I found only ONE BANK that had ANY ! (and that's where I scored my first Franklin by the way !)
So....I don't have the "choice" to search "customer rolled" .....
BECAUSE I JUST CAN'T FIND ANY ! ....

I think Silver hunters around here have made the banks wise to the cost they incur with dealing with them, just by the shear numbers smattering at their doors constantly. When Silver started going up a couple years ago....this "sport" became INSANELY POPULAR !
I can't even find somebody's DUMP BANK FOR HEAVENS SAKE ! .... ...
