i finally raided my safe deposit box.my next step is to buy a camera.but I found an interesting dollar bill that I had purchased at an auction.it was billed as a poker note it has six 8's on it I put in away thinking I paid to much for it.but looking at it now I see it has a star on it.series 1999 does that add to the value

Federal reserve branch. They are designated by letter. I think C is Philidelphia, but am not sure.

It has a normal print run of 3.2 million, so nothing special there. You can goto mycurrency.com and goto star reference and enter the serial number to check it's print run. But you may get a higher premium for those who collect currency with six or more of the same digits in serial.

How much did you pay for it? If it wasn't too much and you were trying to get your money back on it I would recommend listing it on ebay with a title like "1999 Trinary Star Note With Six Of A Kind (8's)" and seeing what it got bid up to. You never know whose interested in what so it's hard to put an accurate value on it.
