Not bad. What about the obverse?

In hand, the obverse portrait of the 2010-D Quarter looks like a smooth 'worn-down-to-VF' version of the 1999-2009 portrait. This does give it more of a 'classic' pre-1999 Washington quarter look. I have one here, next to a BU 2009 NMI-D, and the side-by-side difference is noticeable! (I'll see if the difference stands out in a picture of the two...) Someone who didn't know about the portrait change for 2010 might even think that they got a weak obverse strike... wd1040, this particular coin is one of the worse ones that was in that bag (bagmarked, planchet rinse spotted), and it may end up being added to circulation...

Banks can't special-order rolls of National Park Quarters (as they could do for the 1999-2009 State/Territory Quarters). National Parks Quarters will be randomly distributed by the Federal Reserve (when they happen to be out of mixed circulated Quarters). This could also mean that it could take a year or more for them to be distributed. The first 2009-D Dimes finally left the Federal Reserve last month (March 2010)! These coins are from a Denver Mint bag, purchased by myself in person at the Denver Mint.

Obverse picture added, joker The 2010-D Hot Springs Quarter is at left, a 2009-D Northern Mariana Islands Quarter is at right. Notice how much lower relief the 2010 Washington portrait is! Indeed, lafaa, the design does look better in hand than it did in the line drawings! (especially the neat incuse lettering in the outer rim of the reverse, as wd1040 said)

I really like the reverse design. Those will be TOUGH to find in BU once they hit circulation. Dangit - I may have to buy US Mint marked up stuff.
