I cannot believe this stack. Out of the 100 uncs there about 18 notes that go from bad to worse. Never thought I would run into something like this. Yesterday, the teller only had 500 and bought the lot (that's all he got from the armored car service). Today I drove around to all their other branches to see if any of their other branches had 601 to end and no one did. The first 10 notes have slight curving due to the fact that they were out of the shrink wrap and handling by the teller. I had to play around with the pics to make it work for the site. These notes look awesome as on some even the signature is clear. Peace SN A 09129 9249 E - This where it begins Note 925X Note 9272 Note 9275 - This the last note with major ink transfer

Wd, That's hilarious. On a related but separate note - on one of your old posts you had mentioned that stars are more valuable when found in the unc stack blended in with the other notes. Do you need to hold the 100 it belongs to or just some of the notes? Also the other questions is why? Thanks Peace

are wet ink transfers worth any premium?

I think if you find a star in a single stack, it would be good to keep the five or so notes above and below it, just for conversation value. Otherwise, it's just another $10 or so you can't spend.
Wet ink transfers are considered errors more or less, and having a stack certainly warrants keeping it! The degree of the transfer decides the value, and I can surely say consecutive wet-inks will bring a lot more!

That's nice Amigo! See this is better than a darn specimen note that has no character.

a full one (like mine!) would be valued at around $40-$60 based on dealer prices, IMO this one is worth around $20-$30

Adam, I guess there is no comparison on price or the error. The price is dramatically different than you think. FYI, The first note (9249) with slight tranfer would fetch $50 as is.
Wd, OT - Yesterday I got 2 unc stars, but there were no notes following them as the 2 were the last 2 notes in the brick. I held back the 3 notes prior to it. Peace

I was watching this auction to see where it would end up. Initially, I bid on it and then stopped. IMO if this note was graded / certified it should have brought in around 2X this price (120+) or more. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...BUAA:US:1123Peace

I like that one. The green on black looks awesome as it has a 3d effect.
