Hi All,

Just got this one in and like what I see. What appears to be scratches on the chin horizontally are not there under close scrutiny. They are either artifacts from my camera lens or cotton fibers from my glove. Any help on grading/possible worth would be greatly appreciated. As soon as I get my coupon in from NGC, I'll be sending some of the ones I've posted here in for grading. Will advise.

Nice coin. I think it has a shot at 65, but Morgan's aren't my cup of tea.

The way of grading a Morgan, in general,is the wear of the hair above the ear.I would say that this coin is a MS64-65.The brilliance or the reverse is marketable.I would send it to ANACS and you may get a better grade.

The hairlines under the obverse portrait are what is going to hold you back from a 65 I think.

I too will grade this at MS 64. It would be an easy MS 65 if the rub on the neck at the very tip were not there. Unless, that is an optical illusion but it looks like there was some rubbing there at one time. Very very nice coin!

Is that a gouge on the reverse, just under "in god we trust" looks kidda nasty!

No gouge under the In God We Trust. It appears to be a rub mark - not with any depth into the surface of the coin.
