Hi all!

I bought a lot of uncleaned Roman coins that I shared in this thread:
https://goccf.com/t/58887
I've been soaking them and just brought them out tonight to check on things, do a little playing and see what I could see. A few of them are coming along and then I saw this:
ID-Help...possibly-Non-Roman-From-An-Uncleaned-Roman-Lot
The other side is still either completely covered over or has been destroyed by time...can't tell yet. But this side is looking interesting. The text below the horse and rider doesn't really look Roman to me, but I don't know much about other coinage. I was hoping someone might know something about it or at least be able to point me in the right direction. Also, I didn't measure it, but in its current state it's probably about the size of a dime but the thickness of a nickel.

Obviously it's in fairly rough condition, but I'm still curious as to what this coin once was. Thanks!

Hi I have similar coins in my collection that have been tarnished beyond recognition.
The print looks similar with the horseman but it is difficult to decipher. Not sure what your other print resembles but mine look looks like a Spanish galleon, and the origins I'm assuming are mediterranean as that is where they found their way into my possession through ancestor's. I have not found any other info anywhere though so post away if you come across something.

I'm thinking more Greek. Specifically, I think I can read "...IPP..." (in Greek letters) below the horse, and there seems to be a monogram of some kind between the horse's legs.

There are a few type of Philip II of Macedon with similar characteristics, like this one but I was unable to find a very close match.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! The more I look at the letters, the more they do look Greek, but when I enter the ones that I *think* they might be at Wildwinds, even if something comes up, nothing seems to match the coin visually. This is an odd one...

I wish I could make anything out on the other side...it might help with IDing the coin. Unfortunately, it's just a mess back there right now. Oh well, back into the soak it goes!

Without looking on the other side my guess is the same as SAP.

Philip II (father of Alexander the Great) boy on horse.
