..this may be a silly question, but keep in mind I'm new to Canadian coinage.

This is a 1974, and the designer's initials look different than any other cent I have looked at. The K is much smaller than the G. Is this normal for this particular year?

That's what mine looks like. There seems to be considerable variation from year-to-year in the initials. I never noticed until just now.

I don't have many Canadian cents to compare to. So I don't know if there are variations from year to year or not. All the ones I have seem consistent, except for this one. I have tried searching the net for an answer and can't find anything on it, so I assume it's normal for this year.

And since I told everyone not to bash me, I guess they'd rather "say nothing at all (if you can't say anything nice)". I guess I'd rather be bashed and know, rather than sit here and wonder.
