Teletrade has an auction going to today as usual and one of the items is a 1945 V nickel that didn't get chromium plated. I have and unplated one that's best described as rusted plain and simple.

This one is in very nice shape though - definitely worth a look and possibly blowing the moths out of my wallet. Wonder what it will sell for? They graded it MS-65 but I'm not so sure about the grade being the important factor (shrug).

thoughts?

UGLY....
you have a big wallet......
But what beats me is this: Why in the world would anyone want to buy from Teletrade?

Well, because occasionally you find that one item you don't have or do want to upgrade in the oddest places. As I've said, I really like the entire period from 1901-1960 in Canadian coins as the process started to get more technically sound and every single coin didn't have 17,000 varieties produced every time a black fly farted near a die.

We'll see what the bidding is like tonight and if it's not an arm and a leg I might take a shot at it.
