Segs Slabbed " Reproduction" Large Cent!

Mike Rest in Peace United States 2884 Posts	Posted 03/30/2005 9:28 pm Has anyone seen this on ebay? I ran across this reading on another Forum today. There was a picture of the slab,a SEGS holder with a reprodution of a 1793 Flowing Hair Large Cent.(a link was not provided but the picture was) It was "graded" MS67 or PF67 I can't recall. When did TPG'S start this stuff? Should I submit some slugs and knockouts and see if I can get them graded? zakgold Valued Member United States 382 Posts	Posted 03/31/2005 08:07 am Shame on SEGS! It is one of the many reasons why I would never submit coins to them. They don't even put "reproduction" on the slab. BTW, the TPG's really need to focus on grading and authentication first. Between the First Strikes and Jessica Lynch signed slabs, these companies will do more of a diservice to the numismatic community by promoting "fluff" slabs instead of something we all want: Consistent grading, authenticity, protection and display.
