I also asked him about the coin.. I told him to send it to ICCS or CCCS and that I would pay for the certification on 1 condition.... That being , If coin is certified authentic That he has to sell it to no one else but me.... His answer was .. and I quote " THEN SIR WHY DONT YOU JUST BUY IT AND SEND IT IN YOURSELF... YOU CAN FORWARD ME THE PAYMENT, AND IF THE COIN THEY SAY IS NOT REAL, I WILL GIVE YOU SOME MONEY BACK" Key Word..SOME money back ? total sheister

Personally I think this seller is missing a few nuts and bolts in his brain.... Sent this to the seller:
Interesting... really interesting. it must be one of a kind coin? But... would you please use a larger magnet and have he coin picked up by the larger magnet either on the obverse or reverse side. then take a picture and send it to me please. Then I believe you and would pay some money in to a trust account with a lawyer, pending the authenticity of the coin. if the coin is authentic magnetic, the $ will be yours, If not, I am out the cost for the authentication. looking fwd to your answer and pictures with a larger magnet here is the answer:Hi Sure I can send you pictures of both sides of the coin. If you have Skype/Yahoo messenger, I can show you live in web cam that this coin stick to a magnet. We can arrange the time and date at your convenience and invite people that are interested to see as well. I am about to put a video link so people can watch and judge the coin from there. Furthermore, If you are a serious coin collector, we can meet so that there will be no doubt. I prefer around here in Toronto and inside the nearest Police Station for safety and with witnesses. We can invite a representative of ebay and PayPal and your lawyer to complete the sale.Let me know what you prefer.

I believe he mentions in his listing that the "N" in CENTS is different. Has anyone considered that the coin is a counterfeit made in China or something with a different metal?
Tell him to bring it to Torex in June, Brian (ICCS) will be there and could look at it then. If it's real, I'm sure someone at the show would pay him what it's worth.

Ugly, what would be an easy way to test your theory (coin in hand)? Under your theory, if he put the magnet somewhere else, could it still stick?
I just ask so that I, or someone else, can ask him to perform something that would be impossible under your theory.

It might not stick in areas where the least amount of iron was deposited. A rare earth magnet will pick it up anywhere.
If you want to arrange to make one of these, put a penny you cleaned with acetone(copper or zinc) at the back of your bench grinder in the path of the discharge from grinding. Grind a piece of steel such that the path of moving red hot iron particles hit the penny. Some will stick, others will fall off with a concentration forming in the rims and around the lettering holes. Dunk it in salt water then put the penny near the base of one of your favourite potted plants under the dirt for a couple of months. Remove and brush off anything loose - dirt, large iron particles. Just sit it in a window sill until a natural patina forms.
Would look just like this and be magnetic as hell.
Putting a normal penny in warm CLR briefly will not affect the patina that copper forms (I mean briefly 1 minute or less) Putting in a penny that has iron based oxide primer or natural iron particles (my method) will foam and bubble immediately.
for non destructive testing - this would all be visible under any microscope, iron and its oxides have a specific shape and size.
