This was a part of my father in la . collection. It is a large silver coin that has Mercury on the obverse and a picture of Abraham Lincoln and Victor David Brenner on the back. This is what is written on the back......

Victor David Brenner
MDCCCLXX MCMXXIV (birthdates)?

Master engraver, sculptor-medalist
designer of the 1909 Lincoln Cent
on the obverse is depicted his beautiful
rendidtion of Mercury.

Abraham and Victor

Were humble born,
in different fields of service
one achieved eternal glory
the othe lasting fame.

Around the edge of the coin it says....

468 The Metal Arts Co. Inc. Roch. N.Y. - .999 Silver

Also pictured is the box it came in.

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about these.

Looks like a privately made coin. Maybe a commemorative coin or something.

Searching the Internet it looks like this is one of six produced by Metal Arts Company in the early 60s honoring coin designers.
