Hello, what is a good price for these notes? Details below on the notes and there is nothing special with the SN's.
1954 - CU - LL block (signature's Beattie and JEleeyne) 1954 - AU - ML block (sig same as above)
1967 - CU - NO block (this note does not have 1867 to 1967 on top)
1967 - AU - no number (signature's Beattie and Ras------- something on both)
Please keep in mind that I am here in the states south of the border.
Thanks
Peace

The 2 1954 should read Beattie and Coyne and should be around $5 maybe a bit more, some one with more knowledge may let you know.
The other 2 are between $6 and $10 and the names are Beattie and Rasminsky, same thing some else may / will know more.

Thanks.
Why is that the CU / Un circulated notes do not command a higher premium?

I paid $20 for the 4 notes and picked them up yesterday. From what I can see the 54 is NOT the devils head unless someone can back into from the SN / Block. Thanks mcshilling

Not sure what the heck is going on with Canadian UNC $1 and $2's on eaby recently. Ever since I bought the above I have been sort of interested in picking up a few more unc Canadian notes and have noticed that these 2 notes along with some others jump around in price.
In particular the no SN 67 and 54 $1's are going for almost $10 plus per note and $2 1954 is going for close to $20. They seem to get into bidding wars towards the end. These are not devils head notes and Sig combos do not seem to matter from what I can see and there is nothing special with the SN.
Does anyone know what is going on here or for the sudden jump and shed some more info? Granted I have not been following this in the past as closely. Thanks

Lower priced notes are going to experience a surge as the announcement of moving to polymer notes here in Canada makes the rounds. People are impulse buying and it's driving some prices up at the low end. I have a moderate collection of a few thousand notes. If there's something specific you want PM me and I can probably point you in the right (not ebay usually) direction for getting what you want at a reasonable price. Note this isn't a sales pitch.. I'm collecting not selling what I worked hard to get.

Thanks Ugly. I too am in the modi operandi mode as it relates to currency and coins. I will send you a list. Pretty much it's 2 or more CU notes in sequential order for the 1, 2, 5,10 and may be even the 20's if the prices are not too high for the years 74 and onwards. I may go back for the older ones (Pre 74) at a later date.
