MeauxSzyslak Valued Member United States 84 Posts	Posted 05/18/2010 10:57 am I have 2 nearly identical 1935 wheat cents and would like to hear what you think and to see if it's really all that uncommon to find 2 coins in this state from what appears to be the same dies. I got both coins from the same dealer, 5 bucks a piece. Report this Post to the Staff

In addition to the die chip or whatever that is at the top of the T in CENT that you pointed out, both coins also display the same anomaly at the bottom of the E in ONE. See here... When you consider all the similar characteristics that you pointed out in addition to the ones I see, I believe it is reasonable to conclude that these two coins were struck with the same pair of dies. I don't believe there would be any significance in that, but it is still really cool anyway! Report this Post to the Staff
