The locals out here have started calling me Jesus which is a little disconcerting. One of the labourers brought me this today he was very happy to exchange it for a can or that all american beverage cocacola. He seemed to indicate that he know where there was a box full of similar coins. Now all I have to do is persuade him to bring them all at once instead of one at a time. Image Insert: Image Insert:

Nice coin - is it MS? The luster looks intact but there are some high point spots. Still nice condition.

Now that depends on what they are saying: "Here comes Jesus again" OR "Jesus here he comes again"......lol Offer him a carton of coke for the lot.....I will give you one can for one of them...

Interesting point Barry I never thought of it that way..... I just thought it was because of the long hair and beard but "Jesus here he comes again" is probably closer to the truth...
Pattiewhack what are the key dates? I don't have any reference books with me?

Hey Nohope I would prefer to donate a PEPSI but will do what ever to add such nice examples to my world collection. Wonder what you would get for a PopTart? Looks like I need to load up a case of Dew and head south!!! (For what it is worth I NO longer drink Dew as it darned near killed me! Lying on the slab at the hospital wired up like a robot put Mountain Dew out of my life for ever. Took a few years but it did finally get me!)

Terry Poptarts are unheard of here. They don't even know what a toaster is. The only electicity within a 20 mile radius is our generators. I don't drink Coke but the site canteen gives me one with my lunch every day so I hoard them to trade with the locals. You don't leave soap by the water tank and you don't leave paper in the porta johns because it dissappears faster then you can replace it. Every-one carries their own. The compound was cleared out of the forest in Feb so now when it does not rain its a dust bowl and when it rains its a mud bath. The locals will inherit the buildings when we leave but past experience tells me that they will gut the place for anything valuable rather than live in the nice cabins left to them. Still want to come over? If the supply of coins stays steady I am sure I can let you have a few examples...
